Preloved Items: In-Person Collection
For items viewed and purchased in person or collected directly:
- Returns are not accepted for change of mind.
- All preloved items are sold in the condition described and photographed at the time of sale.
- Cosmetic marks and signs of use consistent with age may be present.
Preloved Items: Online Sales
Customers purchasing remotely have cancellation rights under UK consumer law.
- Orders may be cancelled within 14 days of receiving the item.
- Customers must notify us within this period if they wish to cancel.
- Returned items must be sent back within 14 days of cancellation.
- Items must be returned in the same condition received.
- Customers are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
We reserve the right to reduce refunds where items show signs of excessive use beyond what would reasonably be expected for inspection purposes.
Brand New Clothing & Accessories
Customers may return unused new items within 14 days of delivery.
Returned items must:
- Be unworn and unused
- Have original tags attached where applicable
- Be returned in original packaging
For hygiene reasons, some items may be excluded from returns unless faulty.
Customers are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you believe your item is faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery or collection with:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photographs/videos where possible
We will work to resolve the issue as quickly and fairly as possible.
Reservation Deposits & Payment Plans
Reservation deposits are taken to secure stock and remove items from sale.
If a customer cancels an order, Emilia’s Baby Store reserves the right to retain all or part of the deposit to cover reasonable losses and costs incurred, including:
- Administration time
- Storage
- Lost selling opportunity
- Time the item was reserved and unavailable for sale
Any retained amount will always be reasonable and proportionate.
Payment plans must be completed within the agreed timeframe. Failure to complete payments may result in cancellation of the order and the item being returned to sale.
ClearPay & Klarna Orders
Orders placed using Klarna or Clearpay remain subject to the same returns policy outlined above.
